Boat Project

These last few years John has been working on his boat project in a workshop 400 metres from the house. For those who are interested in yachts and yacht design, here is a brief description:-

12m catamaran of composite construction, all main panels and bulkheads being of PVC cores with glass/epoxy skins moulded under vacuum, while the lower hulls are cored with cedar.

The boat is designed to be sailed single handed, and the patented dagger boards are self-gybing.

The photograph on the right, shows the mk 4 model being tested on the local pond.

Mk 5, the real thing, is under construction.
